Stage Buzz: Manohar Khushalani to Chair Jury for National Video Competition of Educational Programmes

The Consortium for Educational Communication, an inter University Centre of the University Grants Commission has the responsibility for coordination, management, research, production and telecast of Countrywide Classroom programmes on Vyas Channel (GD4) as well as is a nodal body of UGC for econtent development. Seventeen Media Centres, called EM²RCs located in different universities of India, produce educational television programme & e-content in English and Hindi. Educational programmes are also being telecast on DD-I, DD Bharti and Gyan Darshan Channel (GDl).

With a view to nurture and encourage talent in educational television programmes & e-content development, CEC organizes 'National Video Competition of Educational Programmes' every year. The 21st UGC-CEC Educational Video Competition is being organized in December, 2010 which will be open to all educational institutions & individuals within the country and e-content is open to all countries.

As in previous years CEC has again invited, Stagebuzz Editor, Manohar Khushalani, to be the Chairman of the Jury for the category "Best Graphics / Animation / Special effects of the Year" and "Best Programme for Animation of the Year". The names of other jury members for this category are Mr. Chander Shekhar, Mr. Madhukar Methaini, Sh. Brij Pal Singh & Mrs. Sanhita Mandal.

The jury will meet in CEC, New Delhi to select the entries.
